Legendary boxer Mike Tyson is scheduled to return to the ring for an exhibition match against YouTuber Jake Paul on July 20, 2024. The bout, which will be streamed on Netflix, has raised eyebrows in the fighting world, with UFC president Dana White expressing his reservations.

White, a long-time friend of Tyson, has previously voiced his disapproval of the former heavyweight champion's return to boxing. During the UFC 299 post-fight press conference, White reiterated his concerns, highlighting the significant age difference between the 57-year-old Tyson and his 26-year-old opponent.



"He gets mad when I do this," White said, "but Mike's 60, man. I don't know what you guys think about it, who cares what I think, it's not my fight."

Despite acknowledging their personal friendship and admiration for Tyson, White emphasized his worry: "I don't like to see guys fighting at... A 31-year age difference in that fight, you know." Whether Tyson can defy expectations and pull off a successful return against a much younger opponent remains to be seen.
