Dakota Kai Turns Heel Against Bayley, Aligns with Damage CTRL On 3/1/24 WWE SmackDown

After a lengthy absence due to injury, Dakota Kai returned to WWE SmackDown on March 1st, seemingly forming an alliance with Bayley. However, the night took a shocking turn as Kai ultimately betrayed Bayley, aligning herself with Damage CTRL (Bayley's rivals).

The initial signs pointed towards a genuine partnership. Kai claimed she was attacked by Damage CTRL backstage and vowed to help Bayley in her ongoing feud with the group. Together, they faced the Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) in a tag team match.



As the match reached its climax, Bayley went for the tag, expecting Kai to be her partner. However, in a moment of betrayal, Kai shockingly hopped off the apron, leaving Bayley vulnerable. Asuka capitalized on the distraction, leading to their defeat.

Following the match, Bayley attempted to confront Kai, but Damage CTRL intervened, launching a vicious assault on a defenseless Bayley. Kai stood by and watched as her former friend was taken down.
