Director R. Balki's much-talked-about movie Chup: Revenge of An Artist was released in theaters on September 23 on National Cinema Day.

STORY
The movie is Cat and mouse between a serial killer and a policeman. The concept is different where the killer targets those critics who give an inappropriate rating for the movies. Has the police caught the killer? What is the motive of the culprit? To unfold the answers we have to watch the movie in celluloid.
ARTIST'S PERFORMANCES
The movie has a good star cast. Sunny Deol as Cop is too realistic, the veteran has excelled in the role. Pooja is good. Shreya is beautiful and her chemistry with Dulquer is good to watch.
Coming to Dulquer Salman, he is terrific and lived in his role. He showcased different shades with utmost ease. His performance in this film deserves an award and it's one of his best. Both his innocence and menacing act will be loved by all. You will remember his acting skills even after going home.
TECHNICAL ASPECTS
The movie is too dark with gruesome murder scenes. The artwork is realistic and scary. The songs are good, but BGM is haunting and apt. Cinematography is commendable as the crime scenes are well-created on screen. Dialogue writers have to be specially mentioned because we get decent laughs even though the movie progress in the crime genre.
Coming to director Balki is innovative and well known for trying different movies irrespective of the result. Chup is one of its kind and explored a new subgenre in Psychological Crime thrillers. He mixed philanthropic Art elements with the crime genre which is new to Indian cinema but can be seen rarely in South Korean movies. He has done an excellent job with the film.

The movie is one of the best crime thrillers in recent times. There are some Cliches but still, the movie narration keeps you engaged. The stellar performances from the cast especially Dulquer Salman will be lovable. It has spine-chilling crime scenes which might disturb those with sensitive mindsets. The novel concept of Save Cinema is justifiable to the Protagonist's past which is well directed by Balki and emoted by Dulquer Salman. If you like watching Serial killer genre movies then chup will be your good option. Go for it and you won't get disappointed.
