Talking to ABP, comedian Ali Asgar said he went to meet Kapil Sharma on Preeti Simoes’ request. “I heard Kapil is in depression, I felt very bad. We all are with Kapil and will always be there for him. Preeti also called me that Kapil is not well and has apparently not even left his room for days. When I reached his office, Kapil was lying down. He was close to tears when he saw me and could not even speak. It is clear that he is missing all of us, especially Preeti. He is like a child who wants something but is not able to articulate it,” said Ali.
On the reports of Kapil’s family forbidding him to work with his old teams, Ali remarked, “If this is true, I feel really sad for him because Kapil is not going to benefit from this. He will be at the losing end after all work is more important.Today, we all are here because of our work. We have shared such a great relationship with each other and I would not want to ruin it. I will always think well of him.”

On April 14, 2018, In a press conference, Krishna showed his support to Kapil Sharma. Krishna said, "I was not in touch with Kapil from a lot of time. He is number one stand up comedian in India and As I always said that I am a fan of him but this time I was very depressed when get to know about."
He also said, " In last five years I didn't called him but this time I called him. He was very upset. I think when Actor had bad phases of life, then he may make some mistakes. People must not torture him right now. He is in a bad space, he may react something wrong. He is a wonderful guy. He is a good person. He is a friend of Mika Paaji (Sitting Next to Krishna). He is good human being, fantastic actor, but the bad phase of life has come."
He added, "I would love to work with him. I, Kapil and Bharti are running different shows, but when we come together then definitely a good show can be planed. We want that he should get well soon and he should come back. I messaged him that you should come back strong, with a bang, People will give you chance because they love you. So I want to work with him and we come together with a show soon."

Now News World India changed the title to 'Onscreen girlfriend Sumona'.
on 8th April 2018, "News World India" wrote a news by stating Sumona Chakravarti As Kapil Sharma's wife, then after Kapil Sharma's tweet, They changed the title to Onscreen wife.
