Hyderabad, May 17 - Telugu superstar Allu Arjun's "Pushpa - The Rise" was among the biggest hits of 2021, thanks to its phenomenal success in the dubbed Hindi version. The film's songs, dialogues, and Allu Arjun's style have become the rage not just in India but among the international audiences too.
The movie lovers across the country are now eagerly waiting for its sequel titled "Pushpa - The Rule". It was supposed to go on floors in April/May this year, but director Sukumar wanted to take more time to develop the script to make it a true Pan-Indian film. It looks like he has cracked the best possible story for the movie and is ready to take it on floors soon.
In a recent interview, the filmmaker reportedly said, "I believe Pushpa 2's experience will be greater than Pushpa 1. There will be so many excellent scenes in the movie. I believe I have a good script for Pushpa 2. The conflict between Pushpa Raj (Allu Arjun) and Bhanwar Singh (Fahadh Faasil) will be the highlight of it".
Produced by Mythri Movie Makers in association with Muttamsetty Media, "Pushpa - The Rise" depicts the rise of a coolie in the smuggling syndicate of red sandalwood, a rare wood that grows only in the Seshachalam Hills of Andhra Pradesh state.
The movie starred Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead and she will be reprising her role in Part 2 as well. It also featured Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Sunil, Rao Ramesh, Dhananjaya, Anasuya Bharadwaj, and Ajay in supporting roles. The movie made over 350 crores gross at the worldwide box office and was the highest-grossing Indian film of 2021.
