Box Office: KGF Chapter 2 Crosses RRR In Hindi

Mumbai, April 22 - Prashanth Neel has outdone SS Rajamouli at the Hindi box office in the latest blockbuster battle between KGF Chapter 2 and RRR. The Yash-fronted period action drama film, KGF 2 has smashed an all-time record by scoring 268.63 crores net in the opening week in Hindi.

The film has scored the biggest ever extended 8-days opening week in the history of Hindi cinema. Despite the dubbed version, KGF 2's collections in Hindi are eye-popping, which, of course, were expected considering the massive buzz it was carrying before the release.



The mind-blowing numbers of KGF 2 have blown away SS Rajamouli's RRR, which is also playing in theaters currently. This Jr. NTR/Ram Charan-fronted movie has scored 258.51 crores net in Hindi in the first 28 days, and KGF 2 has already surpassed these numbers in just 8 days and becomes the 13th biggest movie in Hindi. RRR is eying its run finish around 270 crores, which will be a fantastic run for the makers.

The Telugu period action drama film minted 14.72 crores net in Hindi over its 4th week, which is the 7th biggest fourth week total ever. It outscored Padmaavat (14.17cr), PK (13.55cr), and Bajrangi Bhaijaan (11.73cr) in the top 10 list of the biggest 4th week grosser in Hindi. Baahubali 2 The Conclusion is at number 1 with 29.4 crores net collection.

At the worldwide box office, KGF Chapter 2 has gone past the 750 crores gross mark including 2nd Friday's collection for all languages. Through its 2nd Thursday (8th day), it grossed 735.20 crores, which is the 8th biggest for an Indian movie. Today, KGF 2 will cross the lifetime worldwide total of 2.0 and become the 7th biggest Indian movie of all time. On the other hand, RRR is currently the 3rd highest-grossing Indian movie of all time with a worldwide gross cume of 1100 crores.
