Box Office: Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania Scores Very Good Opening Weekend Worldwide

Los Angeles, February 19 - Marvel Studios/Disney's Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania has off to a fantastic start at the domestic as well as overseas box office.
The superhero movie, starring Paul Rudd in the titular role, scored $105.50 million in the 3-day opening weekend at the domestic (North American) box office. It is by far the biggest opening in the Ant-Man franchise, beating the second installment's $75.8 million opening.
Overseas, the Peyton Reed-directed flick grossed a strong $121.3 million opening weekend over 52 markets. Including the domestic collection, Ant-Man 3's opening weekend reached $227 million at the global box office, according to Variety.
As far as the last three Marvel Cinematic Universe films are concerned, Ant-Man 3 is behind the opening weekend of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever ($331 million) and Thor: Love and Thunder ($303 million) worldwide.
The top 10 international markets of Ant-Man 3 after the opening weekend are as follows: China ($19.2 million), the UK ($10.9 million), Mexico ($8.7 million), Korea ($7.2 million), Australia ($5.2 million), Indonesia ($5.1 million), Germany ($4.5 million), France ($4.5 million), Brazil ($3.9 million), and India ($3.9 million).
