Box Office: Marvel Studios 'Ant-Man 3' Suffers Record Drop In The Second Weekend

Los Angeles, February 26 - Marvel Studios and Disney's Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania secured the top spot at the domestic (North America) box office for the second consecutive week but suffered a record drop.
The superhero movie, directed by Peyton Reed, grossed an estimated $32 million on the second weekend, dropping almost 70%. The movie witnessed the biggest-ever drop in the second weekend for a Marvel Cinematic Universe movie. The second on the list is "Black Panther" which dropped $44.7%.
The total domestic gross collection of "Ant-Man 3" after the 2nd weekend reached $167.3 million. It had taken the opening of $106 million, the highest in the "Ant-Man" franchise. The lifetime collection of the film is projected to finish somewhere between $215 million - $245 million in North America.
Meanwhile, the movie has crossed $300 million at the global box office after grossing approx. $79 million, including $46.4 million overseas in the second weekend. The total worldwide collection of the movie is now $364 million. It is projected to finish its global run at around $500 million.
The top 10 markets of Ant-Man 3 after 2nd weekend are as follows - US & Canada ($163.3M), China ($31.3M), the UK ($17.8M), Mexico ($13.1M), Korea ($10.6M), France ($9.5M), Australia ($8.1M), Brazil ($7.9M), Germany ($7.6M), and Indonesia ($6.9M).
