Here is our box office collection prediction for movie Gold which is releasing on 15th August 2018 (Independence Day). It is a biopic based on the life of hockey player Balbir Singh, who was on the team that won the first Olympic medal for India as a free nation in 1948. It's a fictional take on what happened.

The film is written and directed by Reema Kagti, produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner of Excel Entertainment.



Movie Gold stars Akshay Kumar and Mouni Roy in lead roles.

With Gold, another Bollywood movie Satyameva Jayate will release on the same day so there will be tough competition between them.

The opening week collection will be around 158 Cr (Monday: 13 Cr, Tuesday: 12 Cr, Wednesday: 11 Cr and Thursday: 11 Cr).

Week 2 Collection Prediction:

New movies Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi and Genius will release so Gold screens will be low.

Friday: 5 Cr; Saturday: 7 Cr; Sunday: 9 Cr; Monday- Thursday: 10.00 Cr

So at the end of two weeks, the movie collection will be around 189 Cr

Week 3 Collection Prediction:

More movies Stree, Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se and Andhadhun will release so Gold screens will be very low.

3rd Weekend (Fri-Sun): 8 Cr; 3rd Weekdays(Mon-Thu): 3 Cr
