Over 7 Lakh Tickets Of Sooryavanshi Sold On Book My Show In Less Than 24 Hours; Annaatthe Sold Over 1 Million Tickets

Mumbai, November 6 - Akshay Kumar-starrer "Sooryavanshi" has created records in many ways, and one of them was recorded on the ticketing site, Book My Show.
The website officially announced that over 700K tickets of Rohit Shetty-directed were sold in less than 24 hours on November 5, 17 tickets per second, making it the highest ever peak for a Hindi movie on Book My Show. The advance booking for Sooryavanshi in the multiplex chains was opened late on November 4, which was one of the reasons for the heavy traffic on the site.
Apart from "Sooryavanshi", Book My Show also revealed that over 1 million tickets of Tamil movie "Annaatthe" starring superstar Rajinikanth, were sold as of November 5. This makes "Annaatthe" the first Indian movie to sell over 1 million tickets on BMS after the second covid-19 wave.
Marvel Studios', "Eternals", too was in the race and sold over 500K tickets during the said time. The is also the best response to a Hollywood picture in India since the start of the covid-19 pandemic. The positive response on BMS transformed into a strong box office result as MCU film grossed Rs. 8.75 crores on its opening day in India.
