Manushi Chhillar Opens Up On Playing Princess Sanyogita In Historical Drama 'Prithviraj'

Mumbai, November 16 - Yash Raj Films unveiled the teaser of "Prithviraj" on November 15. The long-awaited teaser introduced the characters of Akshay Kumar in the title role, along with Manushi Chhillar, Sanjay Dutt, and Sonu Sood.

While the film is packed with superstars, former Miss World 2017, Manushi is making her grand Bollywood debut with this Yash Raj Films production. She plays Princess Sanyogita, Prithviraj Chauhan's beloved, opposite Akshay Kumar's role. The debutante is overwhelmed about her grand launch and is grateful to YRF for believing in her talent.



"I'm eternally grateful to YRF and my director Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi for not only believing in me but also for making me believe that I could play the role of the legendary princess Sanyogita. I couldn't have asked for a bigger debut and I'm deeply honored that I could play her on-screen", she said.

The actress said that she has given everything to this film and is hopeful that people will love her work. "I have given my heart, soul, and tears to this film and I hope that people will like my effort in playing such an iconic real-life legend on the big screen. I'm so fortunate that I got to know so much about Princess Sanyogita in the process of prepping and portraying her on-screen. I hope I have done justice to her and what she stood for", Manushi added.

Manushi made India proud when she crowned Miss World in 2017, and now, her Bollywood launch is definitely a watch out for. Written and directed by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi who directed the biggest television epic Chanakya, "Prithviraj" is produced by Aditya Chopra of Yash Raj Films. It is scheduled to release worldwide on January 21, 2022.
