Wes Lee Announces Injury On WWE NXT; Will Be Out Of Action For 8-12 Months

Stamford, December 5 - Regrettably, Wes Lee delivered the unfortunate news on the December 5 episode of NXT that he would require surgery and currently lacks sensation in his legs. Consequently, he won't be able to vie for Dominik Mysterio's NXT North American Championship at NXT Deadline.

Dominik took the opportunity to taunt his supposed opponent, only to be corrected by Lee, who assured him that the title match would still take place on December 9. However, Mysterio received a video message from his father, Rey Mysterio, revealing that Dragon Lee would be stepping in as the challenger at Deadline.



As a result, Dragon Lee made a return to NXT and launched an assault on Dominik Mysterio. Commentary later disclosed that Wes Lee could be sidelined for up to a year due to the impending surgery.

PWInsider also confirmed that The Wes Lee injury is 100% legitimate. That being said, Lee is set to undergo back surgery & will be out 8-12 months.
