WWE's Plan For Jade Cargill At WWE Elimination Chamber Scrapped, Raquel Rodriguez Ended Up Taking Her Place

Despite a strong debut at the Royal Rumble, WWE hasn't yet fully leveraged Jade Cargill's potential. Recent reports suggest initial plans for her participation in the Elimination Chamber were scrapped.

Raquel Rodriguez's triumphant return and victory in the last-chance battle royal for the Women's Elimination Chamber spot sealed Cargill's fate.



Dave Meltzer, on Wrestling Observer Radio, shed light on Cargill's current standing in the company. He explained that Rodriguez essentially filled Cargill's spot, citing a lack of narrative coherence for Cargill's inclusion in the Chamber match.

“Obviously we saw something change in the Women’s match, the Women’s Battle Royal, and it probably did since Friday.

Because if you saw the scene on Friday where they had everyone there that was for the Women’s Chamber, they had (Jade) Cargill in the room, basically foreshadowing. And the plan was Cargill, and they took her out.”

WWE Elimination Chamber will take place on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Optus Stadium in the Perth suburb of Burswood, Western Australia, Australia.
