The hunt for the next generation of WWE legends is on! A new trailer has dropped for the upcoming docuseries "WWE Next Gen," premiering April 1st on the Roku Channel.
This series appears to be WWE's answer to the long-defunct "Tough Enough," offering a glimpse into the grueling journey hopefuls endure to become WWE Superstars.
Executive Producer John Cena shared the trailer on Twitter, promising a "never-before-seen look" at the aspiring athletes' struggles and dreams. The trailer itself features these men and women, showcasing their diverse backgrounds and motivations for entering the ring.
Triple H also chimed in on social media, highlighting the "next-level talent, passion and drive" needed to succeed in WWE. He hyped the series as a chance to witness who will "shape the future of our business."
The trailer features appearances from wrestling royalty like Cena, Triple H, Head Trainer Matt Bloom, Big E, Shawn Michaels, and Bianca Belair. Interestingly, AEW's Ric Flair also makes a cameo.
Adding some intrigue, NXT's Grayson Waller offered his take on one of the hopefuls, "Sexy BJ Ray." Waller claims Ray is a "very likeable bloke," which seems to contradict how Ray is portrayed in the trailer.
