Vijay Sethupathi And Katrina Kaif's 'Merry Christmas' Sets Christmas Weekend 2022 Release In Theaters

Mumbai, December 25 - On Christmas Day 2021, Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif announced their next film, titled "Merry Christmas". The movie is already on the floors under the direction of Sriram Raghavan ("Badlapur", "Andhadhun") and it is being produced by Ramesh Taurani's Tips Industries and Sanjay Rautray.

Katrina Kaif, who recently got married to Vicky Kaushal, faced the camera for the first time after marriage on Wednesday as she has begun shooting for "Merry Christmas". The mahurat shot took place in the Mumbai suburbs on December 22. The movie will be shot at a live location in South Mumbai and then later in Pune.



Merry Christmas is an edge-of-the-seat thriller. The movie was supposed to go on floors on April 15 this year. However, owing to the second wave of the pandemic and the lead actress testing positive for COVID-19, the shoot of the film had to be delayed. It marks Katrina's maiden collaboration with Vijay Sethupathi.

The makers also confirmed the Christmas weekend release in theaters - 23 December 2022.
