Top Telugu Stars Including Prabhas, Mahesh Babu Announce Donations For Relief Efforts For Flood-Affected Telangana
Pan India star, Prabhas has come forward to help the people of Telangana state which has been badly affected due to heavy rains. The actor on Tuesday announced a donation towards CM Relief Fund of Rs 1.5 crore for relief efforts.
Mahesh Babu is also among the big donors and has announced a contribution of Rs 1 crore to help the government to overcome this challenge. The actor took to social media and appreciate the efforts made by the government to help affected families.
"The devastation caused by the unprecedented rainfall in Telangana is far worse than we ever imagined. Appreciate the efforts of the Telangana government and the Disaster Response Force for doing their best to help the affected families", Mahesh Babu tweeted.
"Contributing ₹1 crore towards the CM relief fund of Telangana. I urge all of you to come forward and donate towards the cause. Let's stand by our people during these difficult times. @TelanganaCMO @KTRTRS", he added.

Apart from Prabhas, and Mahesh Babu, veteran Tollywood actor Nagarjuna Akkineni donated Rs. 50 lakh, megastar Chiranjeevi Konidala donated ₹1 crore as a contribution to the relief fund. Actor Jr. NTR has also lent his support for rehabilitation of the city and contributed Rs. 50 Lakh while Ravi Teja made a contribution of Rs. 10 lakh towards CM Relief Fund.

As many as 70 people have died in rain-related incidents during the past one week in the state, Telangana Minister KT Rama Rao said. The minister said Hyderabad received the second-highest recorded rainfall after 1908, which forced the state government to relocate about 37,000 people from low-lying areas to relief camps.
