Tamil Film 'Oh My Kadavule' Starring Ashok Selvan, Ritika Singh To Be Adapted In Hindi

The 2020 Tamil hit movie, Oh My Kadavule starring Ashok Selvan and Ritika Singh is all set to get its Hindi version. Ashwath Marimuthu, who directed the original Tamil version, will be returning to helm the Hindi remake also which will be written and creatively produced by "Oh My God" and "102 Not Out" director Umesh Shukla.

The Hindi remake will be jointly produced by Endemol Shine India, Umesh Shukla and Ashish Wagh of Merry Go Round Studios, and Parag Desai of Mumbai Talkeez. "Oh My Kadavule is a story with a simple tale and a poignant message that any audience will relate to. We are sure that this is a narrative with wide appeal that everyone will identify with and definitely want to watch", Abhishek Rege, CEO Endemol Shine India said in a statement.

"While I am currently working on the Telugu version of the same, I cannot wait to begin the Hindi film shoot soon. It’s going to be an exciting journey for me", said the director Ashwath Marimuthu who will be making his Hindi debut as a director. Marimuthu is currently helming the Telugu remake of Oh My Kadavule.

Talking about the movie, "Oh My Kadavule" revolves around two childhood friends, Anu (Singh) and Arjun (Selvan), who decide to get married. But as one thinks marrying your best friend means a 'happily-ever-after' but it turns out to be just the reverse as their marital life becomes complicated due to misunderstandings and miscommunication which leads to a divorce. The film also starred Sha Ra and M. S. Bhaskar in supporting roles and Vijay Sethupathi in an extended cameo.

The Hindi title and star cast are under finalization and will be announced soon.
