Tama Tonga's emotional farewell to NJPW took a bittersweet turn as he fell to Hikuleo's devastating God Send in the final bout of his career.

The match pitted Tonga and his brother, Tanga Loa, against the formidable duo of Hikuleo and El Phantasmo, with Jado officiating the high-stakes encounter.



Tonga had announced at Wrestle Kingdom 18 that January would be his curtain call in NJPW, seeking to be closer to his family. He honored his final dates by continuing through February, culminating in this poignant farewell match.

Throughout his NJPW journey, which began in 2010, Tonga amassed an impressive collection of titles. He held the NEVER Openweight Championship four times and the IWGP Tag Team Championship a staggering seven times. His legacy is further cemented by his membership in the original, iconic Bullet Club faction.

While the loss marked the end of an era for Tonga in NJPW, it also served as a testament to his dedication and the respect he commands within the wrestling world.
