Jammu, March 5 - Filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri's upcoming movie, "The Kashmir Files" is catching eyeballs. Slated for March 11 release in theaters worldwide, the film tells the story of the exodus of Kashmiri Hindus in the early 1990s due to the Kashmir Insurgency.
Vivek Agnihotri has directed and produced the film in Zee Studios, and Abhishek Agarwal Arts. It stars Darshan Kumar, Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi, Chinmay Mandlekar, Prakash Belawadi, and Puneet Issar in prominent roles.
Meanwhile, the makers held a special screening of the film in Jammu a week before its worldwide release for influential personalities, politicians, army officers, and eminent Kashmiri Pandits. The makers received anonyms appreciation for attempting such a bold subject and screening even left the audiences with teary eyes.
Vivek Agnihotri, on Saturday (March 5), took to Twitter and shared a video, in which, the audience could be seen sobbing and getting emotional.
