Siddharth Anand Joins Hands With Viacom18 Studios For India's First Aerial Action Film - Fighter Starring Hrithik Roshan And Deepika Padukone

Mumbai, July 8, 2021: Earlier this year on 10 January, director Siddharth Anand announced that he will be collaborating with Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone for his next film titled "Fighter". Siddharth Anand also turns producer with this film. Fighter also marks the first collaboration between Hrithik and Deepika.

Announcing the film, Hrithik had said, "It is an honor for me as an actor to introduce & be a part of Mamta & Sid Anand's first production Fighter for MARFLIX! This one is special as it deepens my association with a director and friend whose journey I have witnessed from being an AD on my sets to directing me in Bang Bang & War. And now as he turns producer for FIGHTER, I can't seem to contain my excitement. This one is pure adrenaline for the heart and mind. So here goes!".



Fighter marks Hrithik's third film with Anand including Bang Band and War as the other two. Hrithik plays an Air Force Pilot for the first time in his career in Fighter, which is India's first-ever aerial action-thriller franchise. Although, Details of Deepika's character have been kept under wraps for the time being.

Siddharth Anand, the director turns producer, has joined hands with Viacom18 Studios for this one of its kind films. The movie will be made on budget of around Rs. 250 crores. It has been designed for a global audience and salutes the valor, sacrifice, patriotism of our armed forces. The shooting of the film will start early next year and will be shot at locations across the world. Fighter will release later in the year 2022.
