Mumbai, May 14, 2021: Shehnaaz Gill doesn't need any introduction as she has become a household name post her Bigg Boss 13 stint. The singer-actress from Punjab has featured in multiple music videos and also begged her career's biggest film opposite Diljit Dosanjh. A Punjabi social comedy film, "Honsla Rakh" is scheduled to release on the occasion of Dussera this year.
Shehnaaz Gill carries a loyal fan following on social media and has friendly relations in the industry in which she works. However, in showbiz, along with appreciation, there are also brickbats that come along. In an interview with TOI, Shehnaaz opened up on dealing with her detractors and negativity, especially on social media.
"It's not easy to look away from negativity, but I try to not focus on it. I still wish well for my detractors. Those who love you will not bother about these naysayers, but will only talk about your work. What they don't realize is that I have worked hard to reach where I am today", Shehnaaz said.
"I have faced a lot of hardships. Of course, there is no denying that I, too, have made mistakes, intentionally and unintentionally, but the good part is that now I know the difference between good and bad", she added.
The actress has often said that she likes to be positive no matter what. It is the practice that Shehnaaz says she has followed ever since she has stepped out of the Bigg Boss house which witnessed her rise as a pure entertainer.
"I strongly believe in the saying that hard work always pays off. All I focus on is improving my skills. I don't believe in comparing myself with anyone else, as that leads to hatred and jealousy. I guess that attitude has helped me sail through difficult times", she said.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Shehnaaz will next be seen in a music video "Habit". Sung by Shreya Ghoshal, the actress will star with her dear friend Sidharth Shukla in the music video. Apart from the MV, Shehnaaz will be starring with Diljit Dosanjh and Sonam Bajwa in the Punjabi movie, "Honsla Rakh", directed by Amarjit Singh Saron.
