Shah Rukh Khan Becomes The First Indian Actor To Have Two $15+ Million Grosser In North America

Los Angeles, October 10 - Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan becomes the first Indian actor to have two films to gross $15+ million at the North America box office.

Shah Rukh Khan's latest mega-blockbuster Jawan has crossed this box office mark today. Earlier this year, the superstar's "Pathaan" grossed $17.50 million which is the second highest-grossing Indian movie in North America, after Prabhas' "Baahubali 2" which scored $22 million.



"Jawan" is only the 4th Indian movie so far to breach the $15 million mark there, after "Baabubali 2", "Pathaan", and "RRR" ($15.20 million). Interestingly, both SRK-starrers have came in the same year, which is also a record for an Indian personality at the North American box office.

Directed by Atlee Kumar and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, "Jawan" has grossed approximately 1120 crores at the global box office so far, including approx. 377 crores overseas collection. It is currently the highest-grossing Indian movie of the year and 5th highest of all time.
