Riteish Deshmukh And Tamannaah Bhatia To Star In Netflix Quirky Rom-Com 'Plan A Plan B'

Mumbai, August 16, 2021: Earlier in May this year, it was reported that Riteish Deshmukh would be making his digital debut with Netflix. The details about the project were revealed much but it was reported that Veere Di Wedding director Shashanka Ghosh would be helming the film which was said to be a romantic-comedy.

Well, it has been confirmed now, and the movie has been titled "Plan A Plan B". Tamannaah Bhatia will be starring as the female lead alongside Riteish Deshmukh. Riteish is playing a matchmaker while Tamannah essays the role of a divorce lawyer. The film also stars Poonam Dhillon and Kusha Kapila in key roles. Rajat Arora has written and produced the film.



Riteish took to Twitter and shared his excitement about making a digital debut. He also shared pictures from the movie. "Excited to make my digital debut with Netflix. Can’t wait for you all to catch our new film Plan A Plan B, coming soon", he wrote.

Tamannaah also shared the news and pictures, "What are your future plans? Don't think too much because Plan A Plan B is coming to @NetflixIndia soon. Can't wait for you to watch it", the actress wrote.

The film marks Riteish and Tamannaah's second collaboration after the 2014 comedy film, Humshakals. Meanwhile, the actress has several films in the pipeline. He has completed shootings for Telugu movies Maestro, and Seetimaarr along with the Hindi movie Bole Chudiyan with Nawazuddin Siddiqui. She also has Telugu movie F3, which is currently under production.

On the other hand, Riteish has reportadly started prepping for his period drama on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj that will be directed by Sairat fame Nagraj Manjule. He is also doing a horror-comedy "Kakuda", co-starring Sonakshi Sinha, for Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP Movies banner.
