Rhea Chakraborty's Judicial Custody Extended Till October 6 By Special Court; NCB Summons Deepika Padukone's Manager Karishma

Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty's and her brother Showik's judicial custody was on Tuesday extended till October 6 by a special Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985, court.
Rhea Chakraborty was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on September 8 for her alleged involvement in a drug case linked to Sushant Singh Rajput's death on June 14 and were sent to 14-days judicial custody.
According to news agency ANI, both Rhea and Showik moved bail applications in the Bombay High Court. Her lawyer Satish Manshinde said the matter will come up for hearing on Wednesday and the details of the application will be shared after the hearing.
On the other hand, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), in widening its probe into the drug's connection with Bollywood, has summoned Karishma Prakash, the manager of actor Deepika Padukone, and Dhruv Chitgopekar, CEO of the Kwan talent management agency for questioning.
The official of NCB said that they have been summoned as some WhatsApp chats showed they were allegedly involved in the drug case. Besides Karishma Prakash and Dhruv, the NCB has also summoned Sushant's former manager Shruti Modi and talent manager Jaya Saha for more questioning.
NCB will also be issuing summons to Bollywood actors Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh, and fashion designer Simone Kambhatta this week for questioning in connection with its probe.
