Post-production work of Shoojit Sircar's Sardar Udham Singh to begin Monday, June 8

After the resumption of the shootings of movies, teleserials, advertisements, OTT was allowed by the Cultural Affairs Ministry of Maharashtra a week ago, makers have started planning to resume work as soon as possible.
In the latest announcement, the director Shoojit Sircar announced on Sunday, June 7 that the post-production work of one of the most awaited movies 'Sardar Udham Singh' starring Vicky Kaushal to begin from Monday, June 8.
Taking to his Twitter handle, Shoojit Sircar wrote, "When nature beckoned, We listened.. We switched gears, From fast forward to slow motion.. Now, there is a call again, An excitement, yet a caution And a hunger to reboot, With this feeling We begin, again.. #SardarUdhamSingh, Post production set to #BeginAgain, tomorrow –8th June."
Sardar Udham Singh is a biographical film which is based on the life of a revolutionary freedom fighter Sardar Udham Singh. The film is produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar under the banner Rising Sun Films and Kino Works. It also stars Banita Sandhu and is scheduled to release on January 15, 2021.
In a previous interview with PTI, Sircar had said they had barely started the post-production on 'Sardar Udham Singh' when a nationwide lockdown to contain the coronavirus pandemic was announced on March 24.
"It's a difficult film and it needs a long post-production time," he had said.
To resume the pre-production and post-production work, makers will have to adhere to the guidelines issued by the government a week ago. The order stated that social distancing norms will have to be followed strictly with a focus on personal hygiene.
