LA Knight Returns On 9/29 WWE SmackDown, Joins John Cena Against The Bloodline At Fastlane

Sacramento, 29 September - "It's better to be late than never," and tonight on SmackDown, we witnessed a lot of action.

On last week's SmackDown, WWE had the same plan in mind for Cena and Knight, but those plans were interrupted when Knight tested positive for COVID. Knight's return and his partnership with Cena against The Bloodline at Fastlane happened remarkably quickly.



Knight returned during tonight's main event segment. John Cena entered the ring with the contract in hand. Cena mentioned he had the choice to tear up the contract or decide to compete at Fastlane. He asked the fans for their input, and the crowd's response was clear. Cena confirmed that he chose to fight and would face The Bloodline in a two-on-one Handicap match at Fastlane.

The Bloodline's music hit, and they made their way to the ring. Cena prepared for a fight by removing his T-shirt. Solo entered the ring, but Cena grabbed him for the AA. Jimmy countered with a Superkick, while Solo followed up with an Umaga splash. They started clearing the announce table. Jimmy placed Cena on the table and went to the top, but Solo stopped him and took his place.

Suddenly, LA Knight appeared and made the save. Knight delivered a BFT to Solo and attacked Jimmy with an elbow. Knight took hold of the contract, signed it, and took charge.
