James Gunn Reveals Why 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3' Trailer Not Released Online Despite Showing It At SDCC 2022

Los Angeles, July 26 - The first trailer of director James Gunn's MCU blockbuster Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 debuted at San Diego Cinema-Con 2022 a couple of days ago. It was, however, hasn't been released online yet, leaving Marvel fans disappointed.
Since the trailer was not released online for the public, it left everyone wondering what went wrong with Marvel that made them to hold this much-anticipated teaser/trailer. James Gunn, meanwhile, took to Twitter and revealed why this happened and clarified that it is not just Marvel but he himself not wanted to make the trailer public as some VFX work is yet to be done on the same, but promises it will be released soon.
"I wish you could have too. But it's not just Marvel, it's also me. Although I love the teaser some VFX aren't where I'd want them to be for repeated views & close inspection - remember we didn't wrap long ago - so you'll have to wait just a beat! Sorry!", the filmmaker tweeted.
Those who watched the trailer at Cinema-Con, called "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" trailer one of the most heart-breaking in MCU yet. Variety reports that in the trailer of the film, "Gamora no longer remembers her fellow Guardian crew members. The trailer also teases Rocket's origin and an all-gold, super-buff Adam Warlock, played by MCU newcomer Will Poulter. Groot appears as a young adult. The clip is set to The Flaming Lips' 'Do You Realize'. The trailer also confirms 'Borat 2' Oscar nominee Maria Balakova is playing Cosmo the Space Dog".
The upcoming movie will be the final film in James Gunn's "Guardians of the Galaxy" trilogy, as confirmed by Gunn himself. It will once again feature Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccoon, Vin Diesel as Groot, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Sean Gunn as Kraglin and Elizabeth Debicki as Ayesha.
The film will hit theaters on May 5, 2023.
