Director Atlee To Work On A Script To Bring Superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Thalapathy Vijay Together
Mumbai, September 19 - Imagine the scenes when two of the most powerful forces of Indian cinema come together on the big screens. Well, this could be a reality and whenever this happens, it will surely rip things apart and set the screens on fire which will be a moment to cherish forever for the fans.
Tamil director Atlee Kumar, who is basking on the mega-blockbuster success of his Bollywood debut movie "Jawan", has revealed his plans to bring the Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and arguably the biggest Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay in one frame, in the form of a feature film.
Atlee is the only Indian director who has directed both Thalapathy Vijay ("Theri", "Mersal", and "Bigil") and Shah Rukh Khan ("Jawan"). The filmmaker, having a 100% success ratio with these four films mentioned films, is now planning to direct both of them in a 2-hero film, and fortunately for him, both the superstars have given their nods if he brings an able script.
"Vijay sir and Shah Rukh sir, both said the same thing that 'bring a script and we will work together'. I also thought that they were saying all this for my birthday as a gift. The next day, Vijay sir messaged me saying that if you are going to write such a script, I will be a part of it definitely", the filmmaker said during a recent interview (via India Today).
"Shah Rukh sir, who was right next to me said 'Sir, you are serious about this na? We will make a film together, right?' So, yes, every now and then they inquire about it and ask me whether I am seriously working on it or not, or if I am taking it as a joke. So, I am seriously working on it and I am hoping for it to crack someday", he concluded.
Meanwhile, Atlee and Shah Rukh Khan's "Jawan" has crossed the 900 crores gross mark at the worldwide box office as I type this. It is currently the second highest-grossing Indian movie of the year and is on course to become the biggest by surpassing SRK's own movie "Pathaan".
