Box Office: Manjummel Boys Scores Huge First Week Globally; Creates Record In Tamil Nadu

Kochi, March 1 - February 2024 was a month to remember for Malayalam cinema which saw three films grossing over 50 crores each, and one of them is survival thriller Manjummel Boys which is setting new box office records.

Directed by Chidambaram S Poduval, the film has completed its extended 8-day first week with an incredible collection of over 54 crores gross at the worldwide box office. At the domestic box office, it has minted around 31.25 crores gross while overseas collection is over 23 crores in 8 days.



Manjummel Boys is running riot in its home state Kerala and has grossed around 24.75 crores in the first week, but what is surprising is the film's performance in Tamil Nadu state where it is simply putting incredible show.

In Tamil Nadu, the blockbuster thriller has become the first Malayalam movie to cross 3 crores gross collection as it currently stands at over 3.50 crores gross in the state. In positive signs, the shows have increased massively for the movie starting from the second weekend in Tamil Nadu which is rare.

It is learned that many rural areas in Tamil Nadu are screening a Malayalam movie for the very first time which is directly translating into box office numbers. While there is still a long way to go, trade is hopeful that Manjummel Boys might be the first Malayalam movie to touch 10 crores gross mark in the state.

Overall, apart from eyeing milestones in Tamil Nadu, Manjummel Boys is also looking certain to enter the 100 crores gross club globally, a rare achievement which only three Malayalam films have scored in the past.
