Box Office: Gadar 2 Third Day/First Sunday Early Estimates; Hits The Ball Out Of The Park

Mumbai, August 13 - Gadar 2 is taking the nation by storm and scoring historic collections with each passing day. The film hit the ball out of the park on its third day and registered one of the biggest single days of all time. East-West-North-South Gadar2 mania has gripped the nation.

The growth today is over 15% as the movie collects an estimated 51-52 crores net which is phenomenal as yesterday was also a huge day. The jump comes in the multiplexes but even the single screens which hit capacity in the first two days have seen a surge in collections. Now more shows have been added and hence the capacity to collect has increased. If these number of shows were there on the first two days then the business would have been more.



The first Sunday of the movie, if the estimate stays, will be the second biggest first Sunday in Hindi of all time. It will take the first weekend collections of the film to around 133 cr net mark which is simply historic as it is coming on a normal weekend. The film is the second biggest weekend of the Hindi film industry after Pathaan which was helped by the huge national holiday on the second day. The mass centers of UP-Bihar, Rajasthan, CP-Berar, and CI are seeing collections that have never been seen before by any film to date. These numbers have also come in a clash otherwise with a solo release Gadar2 would have done 155-160cr net box office on its weekend.

Gadar2 has proved to be a bonafide blockbuster at the box office just like the original film in 2001. Tomorrow will be a big test for the film as it will be coming after three huge days at the box office but going by the booking the film is sure to stay on higher levels and even the 30cr net mark cannot be ruled out and that 30cr on normal Monday would mean a historic Monday. The film is looking to cross the 200cr net box office mark by independence day.
