Box Office: Dream Girl 2 Nears 100 Crores Net After Good Second Week Hold
Mumbai, September 8 - Ayushmann Khurran's social comedy drama film Dream Girl 2 is inching closer to the 100 crores net mark which is going to be a phenomenal achievement for the movie as it will come against all odds.
Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, the movie has crossed 95 crores net mark after first two weeks. It scored a good hold in the second weekend, dropping around 57% for 28.50+ crores collection which takes the total collection to around 96 crores in 14 days.
"Dream Girl 2" will look to enter 100 crores net club by the 2nd of the 3rd weekend, and it will be Ayushmann Khurrana's first 100 crores net movie since "Bala" (2019). The actor was in the lowest phase of his career prior to DG2 release which brings him back in the game.
The sequel to 2019's movie is currently the 9th highest-grossing Bollywood movie of the year, ahead of Ajay Devgn's "Bholaa" which scored a little over 90 crores net. With Shah Rukh Khan's coming to conquer all box office records, DG2 is likely to finish (as of now) as the 10th biggest Bollywood movie of the year, behind "Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan" (111 crores).
