Today the world is celebrating Father's Day as a mark of respect to their respective father for their sacrifice and contribution to one's life. People are posting pictures with their fathers and sharing heartfelt notes to pay tribute on this occasion.
Team India captain Virat Kohli, however, took to Twitter and urged people to be grateful for the love of their father. Sharing a childhood picture of himself with his Dad, Kohli wrote,
"This father's day, I urge you all to be grateful for the love of your father but always look for your own path to move forward in life. You'll never have to look behind because they're always watching over you wether they're physically there or not. Happy father's day."
FYI, Virat Kohli's father died on 18 December 2006 due to a stroke. Remembring his father, Kohli once had said in an interview, "I've seen a lot in life. My father was my biggest support. He was the one who drove me to practice every day. I miss his presence sometimes."
