The 67th National Film Awards are being announced in New Delhi on Monday. The ceremony will bestow honors on the best films and top artists for the year 2019. The awards were initially scheduled to be held in May last year but were delayed indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Bollywood actress Kangana Rana won her fourth National Award for the Best Actress for 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi' and 'Panga' while Tamil superstar Dhanush and Manoj Bajpayee will share the Best Actor award for Asuran and Bhonsle respectively.
Mohanlal starrer Malayalam movie, Marakkar Lion of the Arabian Sea has been awarded the Best feature film. The Priyadarshan directorial is scheduled to release on May 13, 2021, in theaters. Telugu movie, Maharshi starring Mahesh Babu and Pooja Hegde, awarded Best Popular Film for providing wholesome entertainment.
