Ever since Mohanlal starrer, Drishyam 2 has released on Amazon Prime Video, it is winning the hearts of the viewers for many reasons. Mohanlal's performance and Jeethu Joseph's writing and direction are receiving blockbuster reviews from critics and fans all over the country and it has already gained the biggest blockbuster of the year status on OTT for getting never seen before response. No doubt that if it had not been released on OTT, there would have been a storm in theaters.

Nonetheless, the level of excitement and love for the film has been reaching an extent that fans are already demanding a third part of the film. And to keep their excitement level, the makers of this Malayalam suspense thriller are already working on Drishyam 3. Recently, in an interview with Manorama, producer Antony Perumbavoor had spill beans on the making of Drishyam 3.



"I can say that Drishyam 3 is in Jeethu's mind. I understood from his conversations that he is contemplating it. I really hope that it happens. In fact, Lal sir and Jeethu have been speaking about it. All of us wish for Drishyam 3", said Antony.

It is very well known that the film was made for a theatrical release and was supposed to hit theaters in January 2021. However, with the covid-19 pandemic still around, the makers skipped a theatrical release before taking a direct OTT way. Antony too showed his disappointment that the movie could not have a theatre release but he had to make the decision for his survival.

"I am someone who wishes for the theatre experience. But, these are unprecedented times. So, I have gone for an OTT release for my survival", he said.

The success of Drishyam 2 has opened the gate for its remake in other languages. While the Telugu remake as Drushyam 2 has already been announced with the Telugu superstar Venkatesh and Jeethu to direct, there are reports that Jeethu will helm the Hindi remake too.
