Joseph Vijay's Rayappan look in Bigil was inspired by Sushant Singh Rajput's look from Chhichhore

Ever wondered what inspired Joseph Vijay to adapt his character look of Rayappan from the Bigil movie. Well, the creative producer Archana Kalpathi of Bigil has revealed an interesting fact about the role of an aged gangster.
In a recent interview with a leading portal, Archana Kalpathi revealed that Rayappan's role was earlier supposed to be played by someone else as the Bigil team was not sure whether the ever young Vijay would be apt to play the character.
However, after seeing the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's aged look in Chhichhore, the entire team of the Tamil blockbuster convinced that they can make the actor look old. They showed Vijay the rough sketch of the look which Vijay liked and immediately agreed to play the character.
After the news broke out on how the late actor who committed suicide on June 14 had inspired the biggest star of Tamil cinema has become a talk of the town in Bollywood industry which has come under the scanner after Sushant's untimely demise.
Talking about Bigil, it is a sports drama film written and directed by Atlee and produced by AGS Entertainment. It was released theatrically in India on 25 October 2019 and upon its release, the film got mixed reviews. However, the film still emerged the highest-grossing Tamil film of the year 2019 and Vijay's highest-grossing film of his career.
On the work front, Vijay has completed the shooting of his upcoming movie Master which is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam languages.
On the other hand, Sushant Singh Rajput's last film 'Dil Bechara' co-stars Sanjana Sanghi in debut and Saif Ali Khan will be premiered on Disney Plus Hotstar on 24 July 2020.
