Los Angeles, December 7 - James Cameron's sci-fi
Avatar: The Way of Water is giving all indications to become the next big thing in the world of cinema. The sequel to Cameron's 2009 movie "Avatar" is scheduled to hit screens on December 16 and it is expected to create the same magic its predecessor did nearly 13 years ago.
The movie has had its world premiere last night and the early reviews are calling it phenomenal and better than the first part which grossed more than $2.90 billion worldwide and is the highest-grossing movie of all time. If the early critics' reviews are anything to go by, "Avatar 2" is by far the best movie in many many years despite being more than 3 hours long.
Set more than a decade after the events of the first film, Avatar: The Way of Water tells the story of the Sully family, the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure. It stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Stephen Lang, and Kate Winslet, among others in key roles.
