Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli and his actress wife Anushka Sharma have been blessed with a baby girl on Monday (January 11). Virat Kohli took to social media and announced the birth of their first child.
"We are thrilled to share with you that we have been blessed with a baby girl this afternoon. We thank you for all your love, prayers, and good wishes. Anushka and the baby are both healthy and we are feeling beyond blessed to start the new chapter of our lives," Virat Kohli said in a social media post.
The baby was born at a private hospital in Mumbai. Kohli and Anushka, who got married in December 2018, had announced their pregnancy together on social media on August 27.
Kohli had come back from Australia after playing the first Test in Adelaide last month to be with his Bollywood actress wife and has been by Anushka's side through the final days of her pregnancy. Virushka had been regularly posting pictures of Anushka's progress on social media before she went into labor.
