Sunny Deol's Much-Anticipated 'Gadar 2' Release Date Revealed

Mumbai, January 5 - The sequel to Sunny Deol-fronted "Gadar: Ek Prem Katha" has been in production since last year as the makers are giving their all to re-create the magic. Directed by Anil Sharma, "Gadar 2" is carrying huge buzz among the fans and they are eagerly waiting for the film's release date.

According to reports, the shoot of "Gadar 2" is in the last leg and will be wrapped in the next couple of weeks. There have been speculations about the release date of the movie and it has been revealed that the makers have locked August 11, 2023, release date for the film during Independence Day week.



"Gadar 2 is all set to release on August 11, 2023, coinciding with the Independence Day 2023 weekend. It's a film that celebrates the sense of being an Indian and there's no better period than Independence Day for its release. The edit work is underway and an official announcement on the release date shall follow soon", reports Pinkvilla.

"Gadar 2" will be clashing with Ranbir Kapoor's most hyped actioner "Animal" which is already confirmed to hit theaters on August 11. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, "Animal" also stars Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead alongside Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol in prominent roles.

The story of "Gadar 2" will reportedly take place 20 years after the events of the first "Gadar" movie which was released in 2001. Sunny Deol as Tara Singh will go back to Pakistan, this time to protect his son, Jeete, played by Utkarsh Sharma. It is produced by Zee Studios and Anil Sharma Productions.
