Ranveer Singh To Team Up Again With Rohit Shetty For A Comedy Film!

After giving a blockbuster performance in Simmba, the actor-director duo of Ranveer Singh and Rohit Shetty are all set to collaborate for a massive comedy film which will be outside the Golmaal franchise.

The dynamic duo set all the box office records on fire with their maiden collaboration in the movie action drama movie Simmba that earned INR 390 crores worldwide with INR 240 crores net collection in India.



After Simmba, Ranveer Singh is now officially a part of Rohit Shetty's cop universe and even begged an extended cameo in Akshay Kumar's Sooryavanshi under the direction of Shetty.

According to a leading entertainment portal, Rohit has been looking to step outside the Golmaal franchise and his cop universe though he is not leaving the franchises, the lockdown gave him the time to work on an out and out a comic script.

And it is said that when the filmmaker narrated the basic idea of the film to Ranveer Singh, the Padmaavat actor was equally excited as he hasn't done a Rohit Shetty style comedy film before and thus, he agreed to come on board.

The movie is said to be a mother of all comedies on which, Rohit Shetty has already started working after getting a nod from Ranveer Singh. It is also reported that because of the date issues with Ajay Devgn who has a busy year ahead, Golmaal 5, which was supposed to begin around Diwali this year, has been pushed back by one year, and will now start only in the last quarter of 2021.

Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh and Rohit Shetty are currently gearing up for their upcoming movies 83 and Sooryavanshi that are scheduled to release on Christmas and Diwali respectively this year in theaters.
