Hrithik Roshan And Saif Ali Khan On Board To Star In The Hindi Remake Of Tamil Blockbuster 'Vikram Vedha'

Mumbai, July 10, 2021: In recent times, Bollywood has been focussing on remakes of South Indian films and has also been successful in doing that. One such film which is currently the talk of the town is Vijay Sethupathi and Madhavan starrer, 2017's Tamil movie 'Vikram Vedha'.
As per the earlier reports, Mr. Perfectnist, Aamir Khan was on board to star in the remake along with Saif Ali Khan, however, It was recently revealed that Aamir Khan is no longer a part of the Vikram Vedha remake and soon after, it was confirmed that Saif Ali Khan will, however, continue to be a part of the film.
Now, as per the latest development, Hrithik Roshan is on board to star in the gangster drama and has signed the movie. According to a report in a leading entertainment portal, Hrithik was already in talks for the film even before the makers reached out to Aamir. Now, after a few months of talk, the Macho Man has agreed on doing the film.

The original movie starred R. Madhavan as righteous police officer Vikram while Vijay Sethupathi played the gangster Vedha. In the Hindi remake, Hrithik will play the gangster while Saif essays the cop. The film draws from the ancient lore of Vikram-Betaal, where a wily gangster manages to escape every time a determined cop nabs him, by narrating a new story drawn from his own life.
Before moving on to Vikram Vedha, Hrithik will complete shooting for his digital debut, Night Manager for Disney+ Hotstar in which he will be seen in a stylish avatar.
The 'Vikram Vedha' will be directed by Pushkar – Gayatri (a husband-wife duo), who helmed the original film too. On the other hand, apart from the two projects, Hrithik Roshan also has his superhero franchise, Krrish 4, and Sidharth Anand's Fighters and War 2 under his kitty.
The Hindi remake of Vikram Vedha will be released on 30 September 2022.
