Mumbai, May 24 - Bollywood superstar Salman Khan recently kick-started the shooting of his most talked-about action-comedy, "Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali", a few days ago. The movie was announced a long time back by producer Sajid Nadiadwala. However, he is now not a part of this film and Salman Khan is bankrolling this project.
Since the development within the film is consistently grabbing the media headlines, director Farhad Samji is not affected by all this and said that all the rumors about the movie will be put to rest at the right time. "Everyone is writing their own version about the film, but we have not made any official announcement", Samji said in an interview with Pinkvilla.
Samji, whose recently released "Bachchhan Paandey" didn't do well at the box office, continued saying that their silence on the project will create magic that will surprise the audience. "The media is either reading my mind or just doing some sort of prediction. I truly believe, silence is golden. I believe, 'Toofan Ke Pehle Jo Khamoshi Hoti Hai... And Yeh Woh Khamoshi Ka Pal Hai", he added.
The sensational Pooja Hegde was announced as the female lead while it has also been reported that Venkatesh Daggubati is making his Hindi comeback after a long time with this movie while Shehnaaz Gill, Jassie Gill, Siddharth Nigam, Raghav, and Malvika Sharma are also said to be part of the film. Shehenaaz is making her Bollywood debut with this.
The film is currently scheduled for December 30 release in theaters worldwide. The shooting will be done in Mumbai and Hyderabad in the next few months. A few more big names from the Northern and Southern industry are expected to come on board the film.
