Box Office: Bhediya First Sunday Early Estimates

Mumbai, November 27 - Varun Dhawan starrer "Bhediya" opened to an average response on day one though the film had a good growth of nearly 30% on the second day and the expectations were that the film will have a big day on Sunday which just not happened. The creature comedy is witnessing a jump of around 15% on Sunday.

The early estimate collections suggest around 11 crores net. The first Sunday collections will take the entire collections of Bhediya to a little over the 28cr net box office mark and the film will struggle to collect well after the first weekend due to mixed reactions.



There is no doubt the film has been affected by the Drishyam2 wave as that film remains the number one choice for moviegoers even outside Mumbai, Gujarat, and Maharashtra belts where Bhediya appeals more than Drishyam2. The film should hold well on Monday and then on subsequent days otherwise it will be another nonperformer for the Hindi film industry.

The box office is now in a healthy position compared to the last 6-8 months but the content has to be appealing to the audience otherwise many films will keep biting the dust. The hope is that the upcoming mega-event films should score hugely at the box office and the box office should come to its real position.
