Ayushmann Khurrana Announces The Release Date Of 'Doctor G'

Mumbai, November 1 - Ayushmann Khurrana and Rakul Preet Singh starrer campus comedy-drama film "Doctor G" has got a release date in theaters. Directed by debutante Anubhuti Kashyap, the film will be released on June 17, 2022, in theaters worldwide.

Ayushmann plays Dr. Uday Gupta while Rakul Preet will be seen as a medical student, Dr. Fatima Duggal in this Junglee Pictures' production. The film also stars Shefali Shah as Dr. Nandini and Sheeba Chaddha in key roles. Ayushmann took to Twitter and announced the release date and also shared a new still from the film.

"Doctor G" is written by Sumit Saxena, Vishal Wagh, and Saurabh Bharat, who interestingly is a doctor-turned-writer and has drawn inspiration from his medical college life experiences. Saxena, who has written films like "Pyaar Ka Punchnama" and Karan Johar's Lust Stories, has also penned the dialogues of "Doctor G".

Ayushmann currently has three films with release dates. His romantic drama film "Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui" will be released theatrically on December 10, this year while director Anubhav Sinha's thriller "Anek" will debut on March 31, 2022. The actor also announced his first-ever action film "Action Hero" recently.
