Anurag Kashyap Denies Sexual Assault Charges By Payal Ghosh

Under the shocking turns of events, actress Payal Ghosh who made her Bollywood debut with Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi in 2017, had alleged yesterday (September 19) that the filmmaker Anurag Kashyap had forced himself on her and sexually harassed her.

"Five years ago I met Anurag Kashyap regarding work. He called me to his house. When I went there, he took me to a separate room and tried to sexually assault me. He forced himself on me", Payal Ghosh had said to ABN Telugu.



However, Anurag Kashyap has denied the sexual assault allegation leveled against him by the actress and called her claims 'baseless'. He countered her with a series of tweets.

"Whether it's my first wife or second, or a girlfriend... or all those actresses who worked with me... or all those female colleagues who have been working with me... I don’t indulge in such behaviour in public or otherwise. neither do I tolerate such behaviour", tweeted Kashyap.

"I neither behave like this nor do I ever tolerate any price. The rest see whatever happens. It is visible in your video, how much is true, how much is not left, all you have to do is pray and love. Apologies for answering your English in Hindi", he added.

"What's the matter, it took so long to try to silence me. Come on, nobody made me lie so much that while being a woman, I dragged other women along. Be a little modest, madam. I will just say that all your allegations are baseless", the filmmaker further said.

क्या बात है , इतना समय ले लिया मुझे चुप करवाने की कोशिश में । चलो कोई नहीं ।मुझे चुप कराते कराते इतना झूठ बोल गए की औरत होते हुए दूसरी औरतों को भी संग घसीट लिया। थोड़ी तो मर्यादा रखिए मैडम। बस यही कहूँगा की जो भी आरोप हैं आपके सब बेबुनियाद हैं ।१/४

Anurag Kashyap also urged Payal Ghosh to maintain dignity and not to trivialize the issue of sexual assault of women. He claimed she was lying and that he had always respected women.
