Amrita Rao Gets Nostalgic As 'Vivah' Turns 14 Today

Amrita Rao and Shahid Kapoor starrer romantic-drama, Vivah has completed 14 years from its release today. Directed by Sooraj R. Barjatya, the movie tells the story of two individuals and relates their journey from engagement to marriage and the aftermath.

As the film turns 14 today, Amrita Rao took to her social media handle to share a special post. She shared a major throwback photo from the sets of her 2006 film. The photo also features her co-star, Shahid Kapoor, director Sooraj Barjatya and other cast and crew.



The post was captioned as, "A Film that continues to become the Darling of the Nation💞".

"I Remember this day was the last day of shoot.. We shot at a waterfall in Lonavala... I was all of 19 and totally surrendered in good faith of my most wonderful director Sooraj Barjatya ...No one like him !!!".



"I knew this was a Big Film but that it would reach this far in the hearts 💞 of the audience comes as a wonderful blessing 🙏. In terms of the economics of the film, Vivah was a major success at the box office. Produced by Rajshri Productions Pvt. Ltd, this film earned around Rs. 50 crore worldwide in a budget of Rs. 8 crores.

The movie also starred Anupam Kher, Alok Nath, Seema Biswas, Samir Soni, Lata Sabharwal, Amrita Prakash, Manoj Joshi, and Mohnish Behl in the key roles.
