The film also became Ranveer Singh's sixth 100cr plus earner film after Ramleela, Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat, Simmba, and Gully Boy.
The 90s superstars Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar leads the category of most 100cr earner films with 15 films each however all 15 films of Salman Khan were consecutive ones, unlike Akshay Kumar. Though 100cr business is not a yardstick to gauge the success of the film as some films are bigger in scale and 83 fall in this category, it is an important benchmark in today's world of the box office.
Despite the underperformance of the film, 83 has reached 100cr business and the film is still running though there is not much left to collect. 83 also becomes the top grosser of the year in overseas markets. For Director Kabir Khan - 83 is his 4th 100cr film with the previous 3 coming with Salman Khan.
In younger actors, Ranveer Singh has the most number of 100cr films with 6 films and there are many big films lined up which has the potential to collect more than 100cr at the box office.
