The Rock's Return On 9/15/23 SmackDown, Becomes The Highest Grossing Event In Denver History For WWE

Denver, 16 September - Everything on the show last night drew big money for the company. It was electric last night. Fans may have watched some banger shows in the past months, but this was the first-ever live SmackDown here, and the crowd was nuts for it.

One of the top reasons behind the crowd being nuts was The Rock, Dwayne Johnson, returning after almost 4 years. The major reaction from the crowd was absolutely genuine as there were no rumors of him making his return to WWE in this fashion.



However, without being aware of The Rock's return to the city, the show did some huge numbers. Per Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, last night's WWE Smackdown was the highest-grossing event in Denver history for WWE.

For almost a year now, WWE's two flagship shows, Raw and SmackDown, have been clinching sold-out shows and continue to draw more immensely. Also, appearing on the show was John Cena as the special guest on "The Grayson Waller Effect." The crowd burst loud when AJ Styles saved John Cena from getting assaulted at the hands of Solo and Jimmy. Plus, LA Knight even scored with The Miz by defeating him cleanly in a singles action. Also, Asuka defeated Bayley.
