Some Within WWE Expected Drew Gulak To Be Fired Following Accusation Made By Ronda Rousey

Former WWE Superstar Ronda Rousey has made a public accusation against NXT wrestler Drew Gulak, claiming he inappropriately touched her backstage at a WWE event in 2022.

Rousey, during an interview with NewsNation, stated that Gulak "grabbed the drawstring of her sweatpants" as she walked by. She further claimed that bystanders did not react as if this were unusual behavior, leading her to believe such actions were tolerated within the company.



Rousey confronted Gulak about the incident, and according to her account, he apologized. However, the experience left her with a negative view of backstage culture at WWE.

Reports following Rousey's interview suggested some within WWE expected Gulak to be fired. As of now, Gulak remains on the NXT roster page and there have been no official announcements regarding his employment.

Gulak has responded on Twitter, claiming the incident was a complete accident. He stated he intended to shake Rousey's hand and accidentally touched the drawstring while reaching out. He further claims to have apologized at the time.
