Boston, 5 November - At WWE Crown Jewel, Roman Reigns successfully defended the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against LA Knight. Reigns, the record-breaking champion, once again emerged victorious in the match.

With Crown Jewel now in the past, Roman Reigns does not have any officially scheduled WWE appearances remaining for 2023 at this moment. Reigns had previously taken an absence, which prompted WWE to bring John Cena into the business as the right replacement.



With John Cena likely no longer with the company, the question arises: who would be the better option to maintain strong ratings? Currently, there are some superstars whom I believe would be an excellent fit for the business. Let's explore the top 5 candidates.

#1. LA Knight - LA Knight stands out as one of the company's top superstars, consistently garnering an enthusiastic response from the crowd. In my opinion, he should be the one to lead the business. This has been evident on multiple occasions when WWE's focus shifted to LA Knight during Roman Reigns' absences.

During WWE Crown Jewel, LA Knight faced a defeat against Roman Reigns. Nonetheless, I personally believe that LA Knight performed admirably and demonstrated his capabilities in the main event spotlight last night.



#2. Cody Rhodes - Rhodes is one of the most popular and talented superstars on the WWE roster. He is also a proven main eventer, having won the AEW World Championship and the Ring of Honor World Championship. Rhodes has a lot of momentum behind him after his recent return to WWE, and he is the perfect candidate to be the face of the company.

#3. Seth Rollins - Rollins is another experienced and talented superstar who could lead WWE. He is the current holder of the World Heavyweight Championship and he is one of the most consistent performers on the roster. He could be a great foil for the next babyface WWE Champion.

#4. Drew McIntyre - McIntyre is a fan favorite who has all the tools to be a WWE Champion. He is big, strong, and athletic, and he has a great connection with the crowd. McIntyre has also been involved in some of the biggest storylines in WWE in recent years, including his rivalry with Roman Reigns.



#5. Randy Orton - Randy Orton's WWE return is reportedly imminent. According to Wrestling Observer and Fightful Select, Orton is expected to return to the company within the next month or so. He has been out of action since May 2022 due to a back injury, which required surgery.

Orton has been spotted training at the WWE Performance Center in recent months, and he is said to be in good shape. His return has been highly anticipated by fans, and he is sure to be a major boost to the WWE roster.
