Oba Femi is the new North American Champion in his first reign.

On January 2, 2024, at NXT: New Year's Evil, Femi defeated Riley Osborne in the tournament final, earning him a title match of his choice. Tonight, in the main event, Dragon Lee successfully defended the NXT North American Championship against Lexis King.



After the match, Oba Femi, accompanied by an official, cashed in his contract. Before the match officially started, Lee executed a plancha, delivering punches and an enzuigiri. However, Oba countered with a forearm, slammed Lee to the mat, and secured the victory with a power bomb, foiling Lee's attempt at Operation Dragon.

Femi is now the reigning NXT North American Champion, achieving this title in his first reign. At NXT Deadline, Lee clinched the NXT North American Championship by defeating Dominik, marking his inaugural WWE title.
